A fair limit for verified agency submissions
Simple applications: up to $5. Standard applications: up to $9. Multi-step applications: up to $15. The agency-submission processing fee is the lower of the applicable tier and 10% of the verified government permit or license charge. The tier reflects the form’s fields, supporting documents, and original-document or notary steps. This processing cap is separate from optional standalone printing and mailing.
Free and low-cost government applications
There is no agency-submission processing charge when the government application is free or its permit/license fee is below $10. Emergency fire-reporting instructions, public-records requests, and reference guides are not placed behind a service payment. Drafting and reviewing requirements are free. Optional printing, mailing and postal document preparation have the prices below. Apply directly with the agency at any time.
Examples
A $20 permit has a processing fee of no more than $2. A $50 permit has a processing fee of no more than $5. A $150 license costs no more than $15 in processing, and may cost $9 when its workflow is standard. A free street-closure request has no processing fee. These are examples, not official agency fee quotes.
Official external forms
All original government forms, linked online services and source libraries are free to open from this catalog. The optional Milieu License preparation, PDF purchase and checkout prices apply only where that workflow is available. Official agency fees are set by the agency.
Optional progress downloads
A $2 progress PDF purchase is optional and includes corrected and signed copies for the same application. It is not required to prepare or sign. The purchase is credited toward a later processing or postal document-preparation charge, up to that charge. Privacy requests and legally required record copies do not require a purchase.
Automatic print-and-mail prices
Standalone print and mail costs $4.99 plus $0.25 per printed page, including one inserted address sheet and any translation-assistance notice included in the packet. A separate $2 document-preparation fee applies, waived for applications designated as free-service and reduced by any existing PDF-purchase credit. For example, one document page plus the address sheet costs $5.49 for delivery, or $7.49 including the full $2 preparation fee. These are Milieu License retail prices, not quotes of the provider’s costs.
Print and mail with a check
Check printing and mailing costs $6.99 plus $0.25 per attachment page, with the same document-preparation fee and credit. The check amount is itemized and collected together with printing, mailing and preparation in Stripe checkout. After confirmed payment and funding checks, Milieu License issues the authorized check from its configured bank account. The eligible document packet and check travel in one envelope.
Agency address and fee, ready for checkout
The agency office address fills in automatically when available. A published fixed government fee is prefilled, multiple rates appear as choices, and an unknown fee has a dollar-entry field. You can enter the amount provided by the agency; an entered amount is not represented as agency-verified. Review the recipient, fee selection and quantity before paying.
Keep moving while the agency reviews
You can purchase printing and mailing while agency review or other application steps remain unfinished. Select your prepared document, attachments and recipient, and use Review required documents for the remaining steps. Agency review alone does not prevent a check mailing. When the agency requires payment after acceptance, mail the documents now and pay when invoiced.
Review your quote, then authorize
Automatic postal quotes remain valid for 24 hours for the selected documents, destination and method. Changes recalculate the quote. Calculating a quote does not charge you or send anything. Before checkout, review printing, mailing, preparation, any credit, the government check amount and the full total. Your final authorization identifies the exact payee, amount, destination and documents.
English paperwork and translation records
Your reviewed English answers are used in generated paperwork. If you used the translator, an English translation-assistance notice is included in the packet and counted in the quote. Uploaded files remain as supplied; confirm that selected attachments are in English before delivery of a translated application.
Fulfillment and remaining steps
Confirmed payment starts fulfillment of your authorized order. Production, mailing and delivery have separate status updates; provider funding checks or other issues may delay dispatch. A payment receipt or tracking event does not establish agency approval or check clearance. Confirm remaining requirements with the department.
