Accessibility
Access belongs in every step, from finding a form to signing it.
Our target
Milieu License is designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a development target, not an independent conformance certification. A preferences menu supplements built-in accessibility; it does not replace accessible structure or assistive technology.
Display and keyboard preferences
Use keyboard navigation, labeled form fields, required-field error links, visible focus indicators, mobile layouts, and a typed alternative to drawn signatures. The Accessibility menu offers text up to 200%, high-contrast and dark display modes, a readable font, line and letter spacing, underlined links, stronger focus indicators and reduced motion. Settings stay on this browser and can be reset. They do not change the official form layout or the printed paperwork. Browser zoom and your operating system’s accessibility tools remain available.
On-screen reader
Open Accessibility and choose Read page or Read selected text. You can pause, resume, stop, change the reading speed, and choose an available language and voice. Optional focused-control reading speaks labels as you navigate. Speech begins only when you request it and uses no microphone. This reading aid complements a full screen reader such as TalkBack, VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS.
Voice privacy and availability
The reader defaults to voices your browser identifies as local. Online voices are available only if you turn on Allow online voices; the browser’s voice provider may then process the text being spoken. Page reading skips form input values, hidden content and marked sensitive areas. Selected-text reading can include application information you deliberately select. Available voices and speech support depend on your browser and device. You can use your own screen reader instead.
Language assistance
Use the language menu to translate website text and get help within the fillable form window. Translation runs on your device after the language files download. Review the English narrative answers before saving. Generated application paperwork is in English and includes a translation-assistance notice when the translator was used. Uploaded documents are not automatically translated; supply English files for your delivery packet.
Documents and third-party services
Original agency PDFs may contain scans or inaccessible content. Guided form fields provide a more usable preparation route for mapped applications, while the original remains available for comparison. Generated PDFs include a supplemental record and may not provide the same assistive-technology experience as the HTML review. Stripe, agency services, and other providers control their own interfaces. Report barriers so we can help with an alternative.
Help and feedback
Email info@milieupower.com with the page and task where you experienced a barrier, plus your preferred way to be contacted. You may include your browser or assistive technology if useful. Do not send identification or sensitive application documents in an accessibility email. You can also contact the issuing agency to request its accessible application process.
